Which type do we use??
At AVV
PhotoVideo, our quest for
ultimate quality in storing your Photo-Video Movie has been
accomplished. DVD-R by Verbatim (a leader in top
quality storage media) is our choice. These discs are
"printable" meaning instead of using face labels to title
your DVD(s), we print using high resolution printers to
capture your images for a truly professional look indeed!
What that means to you the client is your discs can be given
to anyone with the confidence that your DVD not only looks
great, and will play in most DVD players as well!
What
about CD's?
We
use CD's that are top
quality by Verbatim.
However, We do not use
CD's for your DVD Slide
Show, simply because the
CD has a lower storage
capacity (650MB) than
DVD's (4.5GB's).
We do not use printable
CD's but we use a stand
alone device that does a
good job of printing
using thermal transfer
technology and that
works very well to title
your media.
What
about holding up to
"FATHER TIME"?
The
life expectancy of DVD's
are between 150-300
years. That is a
long time! For
archival purposes, you
can't beat that!
Weather it is for
viewing or archiving,
your images will last a
long time!
